Mill Falls is very fortunate to have amazing families. We so appreciate their partnership and commitment to keeping everyone in our school community as healthy as possible during these COVID times.

We are aware how challenging it has become to access COVID testing – many of us (staff and families) have had a similar experience as we seek testing for ourselves or our family members.

WHAT TYPE OF TESTING SHOULD WE BE ACCESSING?

A person WITH SYMPTOMS may access either Rapid or PCR Testing

A person WITHOUT SYMPTOMS (asymptomatic) who has been exposed to someone with COVID should ONLY access PCR testing for reliable results. Public health officials now say that testing after exposure should be sought 5-7 days after the day of exposure for accurate results.

This school year, we have been accessing testing at pharmacies, doctor’s offices, and urgent care facilities. In addition, the City of Manchester is currently offering free PCR testing, 7 days a week at the Hunt Pool Complex from 9-3 (walk up, no appt necessary).

The NH Department of Health and Human Services, recently shared a list of testing sites statewide. Click here to view their list.

Another way to access rapid testing is through the use of COVID Home Rapid Testing Kits.

HOME RAPID TESTING

We are now accepting results from the BinaxNOW COVID-19 Self Tests and QuickVue At-Home OTC COVID-19 (made available to NH families by the state of NH) as part of our Home Rapid Testing Protocol.

  • These home tests MUST be properly performed to create reliable results.
  • Each step of the protocol must be followed. The link to the protocol can be found below.
  • The steps to perform the home tests are not difficult but must be performed by an adult.
  • Please note we will ONLY be accepting BinaxNOW COVID-19 Self Tests and QuickVue At-Home OTC COVID-19.

Before proceeding with accessing a BinaxNOW COVID-19 Self-Test or the QuickVue At-Home OTC COVID-19for your child/children you must carefully review the protocol for using these tests. Should you have any questions, please be in touch!
