PUBLIC MONTESSORI LEAD TEACHERS: Lower Elementary (grades 1-3) & Upper Elementary (grades 4-6), Full-time
Mill Falls is seeking Montessori educators with a desire to teach in public, mixed-age/mixed-grade classrooms where the Montessori method is aligned with the Common Core State Standards. Ideal candidates will have a commitment to Montessori education in a public setting, knowledge of best practices and be trained in the Montessori method.
Position Type: Full-time, based on school schedule.

PUBLIC MONTESSORI ASSISTANT TEACHERS: Kinder & Lower Elementary (grades 1-3)
Mill Falls is seeking Assistant Teachers who support the work of the Classroom/Lead Montessori Teacher by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of our public Montessori school’s learning environment. Working in collaboration with the Lead Teacher, the Assistant Teacher is responsible for the academic, personal, and social achievement, safety, and physical well-being of the children under her/his supervision. Assistant Teachers must possess a high level of professionalism and desire to expand one’s abilities in the education field.
Position Type: 7.25 hours per day, based on school schedule.

Upper Elementary Interventionist (part-time)
Mill Falls is seeking a Part-Time Upper Elementary Interventionist to work with individual and small groups of children in our Upper Elementary Program (grades 4-6), as directed by the Educational Program Director and in collaboration with Lead Montessori Teachers. In fulfilling the job duties, the Upper Elementary Interventionist shall:
- Plan and implement math and literacy intervention programming.
- Assist with the care and maintenance of math and literacy intervention materials, i.e. maintaining an orderly environment and keeping it clean and in good condition.
- Provide assessment data to Lead Teachers and Educational Program Director as requested.
- Help train and supervise children regarding emergency situations and practices such as fire drills, as directed.
Position Type: part-time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required;
- NH Teaching Certification required;
- A demonstrated willingness to collaboratively work in collaboration with MFCS’s trained Montessori teachers;
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, administrators, and parents;

PARAPROFESSIONALS
Mill Falls is seeking Paraprofessionals to assist students with disabilities and support them in the public Montessori school environment. Under general supervision, the Paraprofessional assists teachers, program coordinators, and specialists in completing instructional and clerical duties and assignments involving students with mental, emotional, or multiple learning challenges. The Paraprofessional works with students whose IEP’s call for such support and performs instructional assignments, with minimal supervision, in comprehension and reinforcement of skills in language, reading, and math, as well as emotional, physical, and social developmental. The Paraprofessional works with Mill Falls’ Special Education Team in preparing and developing basic teaching materials, instructional aids, and other support materials.
Type: Full time based on the school day and schedule.
Qualifications:
- Experience with children and adolescents in an educational setting;
- Completion of two years of study (48 credits) at an institution of higher education or Associates Degree or higher;
- Ability to instruct students in mathematics, reading, science, social studies, art, and/or related subjects;
- Able to physically manage students, kneel, sit on floor, lift up to 40 pounds, and provide personal care;
- Knowledge of educational and instructional techniques and willingness to learn;
- Comfort and interest in working in a public Montessori environment;
- Appreciation for students with learning differences as well as for students from diverse family and socio-economic situations;
- An open-mind and sense of humor.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS
Mill Falls is seeking Substitute Teachers. The majority of assignments include filling in for paraprofessionals and/or Assistant Teachers and occasionally our Integrated Arts Teachers (art, fitness, technology, library and music) intermittently throughout the school year. Our Paraprofessionals assist students with disabilities and our Classroom Teachers, Program Coordinators, and Specialists in completing instructional and clerical duties and assignments involving students with mental, emotional, or multiple challenges. Our Assistant Teachers work in collaboration with our Lead Teachers, and are responsible for the academic, personal and social achievement, safety and physical well being of the children under her/his supervision.

Mill Falls is the first public Montessori School in the state of New Hampshire. The School opened in Manchester in the fall of 2012. This state-issued charter school is open to all NH students via our annual public lottery. Mill Falls provides a full elementary program, currently serving 168 students in grades K-6.
