We began our week with our Annual celebration of International World Peace Day. The day began with an all-school assembly led by Ms. Laura, during which she said, “Peace is so very important to us here at our school, so you could say International Peace Day is like our school’s holiday!” The assembly closed with peace circles which occur throughout the year in our Montessori school.
In celebration of autumn and the Kindergarten lessons about parts of an apple and the lifecycle of an apple tree, Ms. Kristin and Ms. Kelsey led their kinder students in an apple taste test. Children were offered apples organized by color: Red=Macintoshes, Green= Granny Smiths, Yellow=Honey Crisps.
